Trauma Informed Practice (TIP) – A basic tool kit for Sexuality Practitioners

Learning to be a safe and skilled practitioner requires an awareness of trauma. This training has been devised to help you develop your trauma awareness and offers guidance on how to hold a trauma informed safe container for your clients.

During the weekend, you will learn about:

• Definitions of Trauma and Trauma Informed Practice (TIP)
• A step-by-step approach to holding space that helps keep clients safe
• Polyvagal Theory basics
• How to spot trauma responses (and what to do about them)
• How and when to refer a client on

This is not a personal trauma healing event, however there will be the opportunity to explore some of your personal material to help you develop an embodied understanding of the course content.

You will leave the course with a road map to working with clients that includes:

• Agreeing boundaries and consent
• Establishing safe anchors
• Awareness of your own reactions
• Recognising response states of the autonomic nervous system
• Trauma response first aid
• Getting the right support for the work you do

INVESTMENT – £380

It is possible to pay in 4 x installments of £100. The additional £5 per transaction covers electronic payment processing fees. We do not seek to profit from payment plans.
