You can have a healthy sex drive and still be disconnected from your sexuality.
Maybe you watch porn regularly. Maybe you’ve tried to stop and found yourself going back to it. Maybe you’re in a relationship but find yourself more easily turned on by a screen than by your partner.
Or perhaps you can get hard and reach orgasm alone, but struggle to stay present, aroused or connected during real intimacy.
Maybe porn is affecting your relationship, your desire for your partner, or the way you experience sex.
There may be more going on than simply wanting sex.
The impact of porn on intimacy
Having been in relationships where my partner was watching a lot of porn, I understand the impact it can have on intimacy.
Porn has become a normal part of society, but in my experience, it was incredibly damaging and toxic to accessing the depths of connection available to us.
I used to feel unloved and undesirable. I questioned my sexiness and attractiveness.
Why would he rather watch people on a screen than connect with me?
There are many possible reasons.
Sometimes porn can become a way of avoiding intimacy, avoiding the possibility of rejection when you initiate sex with your partner, or avoiding the shame, criticism or vulnerability that can arise when you are asked to explore something differently.
Real intimacy asks you to be seen. It asks you to communicate. It asks you to feel.
Porn can offer a space where none of that is required.
You don’t have to risk rejection. You don’t have to communicate a need. You don’t have to feel vulnerable. You can simply stimulate yourself, experience the release and move on.
But the shame doesn’t necessarily disappear. It can get pushed down, suppressed and repeated, creating a cycle that becomes increasingly difficult to step out of.
When pleasure becomes disconnected from the body
Porn is highly stimulating and often centred around novelty, visual stimulation and orgasm as the goal.
Over time, this can condition you towards a very particular kind of sexual experience: fast, stimulating, goal-oriented and largely driven by the mind. You may find yourself chasing stronger stimulation. Your attention moves into your head rather than into your body.
You may struggle to stay present with your partner, experience less desire for them, or find that your body responds differently with a real-life partner than it does when you’re alone with a screen.
And even when you consciously know that intimacy is about so much more than penetration and orgasm, your body can still be conditioned towards what it has repeatedly experienced.
The result can be a profound disconnection between your mind, your body and your sexuality.
The more you rely on something outside yourself to create your sexual experience, the less opportunity you have to discover what is already available within your own body.
Tantra massage: a different relationship with pleasure
This is where tantra massage can offer a very different experience. Tantric massage slows everything down.
There is no porn. No screen. No need to perform. No pressure to achieve an erection or orgasm.
Instead, you are invited to become deeply present with sensation. To slow your breathing, soften into your body and notice what you are actually experiencing rather than immediately chasing the next sensation or the next release.
You begin to explore what it feels like to receive pleasure rather than constantly trying to create or control it. To stay with sensation. To notice subtle changes in your body. To allow arousal to build without needing it to lead anywhere.
For many men, this can be a completely different experience of sexuality.
Instead of using stimulation to get somewhere, you begin to explore what happens when you slow down enough to actually feel.
Instead of making orgasm the destination, pleasure becomes the experience.
Instead of outsourcing your sexual arousal to a screen, you begin to discover your own capacity for pleasure through your body.
And this is a very different kind of sexual confidence.
Moving beyond shame
If you’re struggling with porn, shame isn’t going to help you change the pattern.
You don’t need to be told that you’re bad for watching porn.
You need to understand what you’re actually using it for.
Is it boredom? Stress? Loneliness? Avoiding intimacy? Avoiding rejection? A way to switch off? A way to access pleasure when you don’t know how to access it within yourself?
When you begin to understand the pattern rather than judging yourself for it, you have something you can actually work with.
Tantra massage isn’t a magic cure for porn addiction. But it can give you an opportunity to begin experiencing sexuality differently through presence, sensation, breath, receiving and connection with your body.
What would become possible if you no longer needed something outside yourself to access your own pleasure?
That is the exploration.
And it starts with coming back into your body.

Tantric and Taoist Bodywork are spiritual and energetic practices rooted in ancient Indian traditions — not sexual services. Sessions focus on breathwork and energy work, offering a deeply transformative experience of body, mind, and consciousness in support of self-awareness. This is not escorting, and it is not a substitute for it, and sessions do not — and never will — include sexual services of any kind. If you are looking for mutual touch, nudity, body-to-body contact, or ejaculation, this is not the right site for you.
However, if you are interested in genuine Tantra as a practice, we are glad to have you here. Genuine Tantric bodywork is centred on breath, energy, and the experience of higher consciousness — including through the transmutation of sexual energy. This work is grounded in sacred tradition and professional training.
