About

About me

The terms I use to describe myself include white, queer, neurodivergent, agender, female-bodied, disabled, consciously kinky, ethically non-monogamous. I use they/them pronouns.

As a child, I knew I wasn’t going to be a woman when I grew up, but also knew I wasn’t a boy. At the time, I had no other language to describe what that meant and moved through the world as a cis-passing female-bodied person who did not feel comfortable with the way society labeled them. My body finally rebelled when I developed chronic illness after contracting swine flu, forcing me to stop masking and go inwards. Discovering the terms genderfluid and nonbinary around a decade ago transformed my identity and allowed me to begin evolving.

As a highly sensitive neurodivergent person I struggled with the head-down approach of talking therapies. I felt that neurotypical people were projecting their perceptions onto me, and I was struggling to be heard. Discovering somatic work was a game-changer for me. Bottom-up therapy allowed my body messages to be felt, seen and heard.

Training to become a Certified Sexological Bodyworker has taken me on an epic journey in understanding myself more fully. It’s inspired me to want to take this work into the world, to allow more people to connect to the messages contained within their body. To heal parts of themselves, to be witnessed with radical acceptance.

My work

My offerings include working in the realms of consent and boundaries, conscious kink, massage and scar tissue remediation. I’m trauma-informed and hold space for people of all genders to slow down, connect to themselves and find healing in discovering their unique stories held in their bodies.

Sexological bodywork is for anyone who wants to connect more deeply to their body. You may be particularly interested if you:

  • Have tried other healing modalities and/or talking therapies, and feel like there’s something missing.
  • Are a bodyworker or healthcare professional interested in being better informed for intimate touch with your clients/patients
  • Have engaged in non-consensual sex or sexual advances
  • Experience difficulties with intimacy
  • Struggle to interpret intimate situations or have difficulty asking for what you want
  • Wish to explore being sexual with a disability
  • Experience shame, guilt or other blocks to pleasure …and many more!

Work with me

If you are new to working with me, I ask that we set up a discovery call to see if we are a fit for working together.  I then send you a confidential intake form to complete, which I review. This will help to inform me in creating our session, which we will do together.

Sessions may include coaching, breathwork, Wheel of Consent work or other somatic exercises. There will be home-play activities to try out in between sessions. My standard rates are £120 for 60 minutes or £165 for 90 minutes online session and £360 for a 3 hour in-person session. My social media has details of discounts I may be offering.

I recognise the race, class and education privilege I hold, and want to make this work accessible to those who are drawn to it, whilst also honouring the needs of my body. I offer sessions on a sliding scale to those on low income who can work with me during daytime hours. I offer free sessions to sex workers.

Please note my working hours are between 10 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday. I occasionally have evening and weekend slots available; these are prioritised to clients of marginalized genders, race and sexualities.

My regular practice space is not suitable for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. If this is you, please let me know and we can explore alternatives.

Testimonials

I felt completely held and safe by you - absolutely accepted for who and where I am.
Nina

I felt very safe in the session & it seemed to flow effortlessly & quite magically. I felt able to express myself freely in terms of inner sensations without fear of judgment. Kirstine has a natural calm curiosity and weaved a powerful session at the end of which l felt very comforted, uplifted & energetically held :)

"I received a couple of sessions from Kirstine earlier this year, which really helped me with the topics of gender expression, finding a way to better relate to my monthly cycle as a non-binary person, and reconnecting to a felt sense of safety in my body. I really appreciated Kirstine’s wisdom and creativity, which made the sessions feel unique to me. I felt beautifully and gently held throughout and, perhaps most importantly, seen. I would recommend Kirstine to others doing the work to break down societally-imprinted beliefs about who they are.
